Who is this range for?

Skincare makers, beard care brands, soap studios, supplement sellers, opticians and pet care companies. Most are small UK brands launching a first product or moving from a plain stock box to a printed one.

The boxes share one idea: a slim, upright carton cut close to the product, with a tuck at each end. What differs is the size, the closure and the extras each product needs, such as headroom for a pump or a window for a bar of soap.

Many start with one product and add sizes later. Keeping one artwork template across the range makes each new carton faster to proof.

Which closure suits a cosmetic carton?

Most beauty cartons are reverse tuck end: the top tucks in from the back and the bottom from the front. It is quick to pack and opens easily at the counter, which suits serums, beard oils and supplements.

Lipsticks and lens packs are usually straight tuck end, with both flaps tucking from the same side. The front stays one clean panel, which matters on small boxes where every millimetre of print counts. Our lipstick boxes with straight tuck ends are a good example.

Heavier glass jars and pump bottles can take a crash lock base instead. The base forms itself as the carton opens.

Whatever the closure, the carton arrives flat and folds by hand in a few seconds.

What size box fits a 30 ml dropper bottle?

A 30 ml dropper bottle is usually about 32 mm across and close to 100 mm tall with its bulb. A common starting box is about 35 × 35 × 105 mm inside, but always measure your own bottle.

The same rule runs across the range: measure the widest point and the full height, then add 1 to 3 mm. Pumps, droppers and spray heads add height, so measure them fitted. See dropper bottle boxes for serums and oils for more sizes.

  • Lipsticks: measure the closed bullet, usually 20 to 25 mm across.
  • Spray bottles: measure with the cap on, not the bare pump.
  • Soap bars: measure the bar at its thickest, after curing.
  • Supplement tubs: include the lid and any shrink seal.
  • Lens packs: allow for the full stack of blisters.

Boxes for beard oil and men's grooming

Beard oil usually comes in a 30 or 50 ml dropper bottle, so the carton is tall and narrow. Grooming brands often choose kraft board or dark artwork with a single foil line.

A kit with oil, balm and a comb needs a wider carton and a card insert to hold each item. Send us the parts and we lay them out on the proof. Our page on printed beard oil boxes shows a few layouts.

Soap boxes and windows

Handmade soap sells on colour and texture, so many soap makers want a window. A die-cut window on the front lets the bar show, with or without film.

Bars vary after curing, so measure a finished bar and allow 2 mm on each side. A slim reverse tuck carton is the usual choice. For bars sold to hotels and guesthouses, see the candle and home fragrance range, which includes guest amenity cartons. Our soap tuck boxes for bar soap page covers both options.

Supplements, eye care and pet care

Supplement tubs and jars are wider than most beauty items, so their cartons are close to square in section. Print the directions and ingredient panel on a flat side, away from folds.

Contact lens packs are small and flat, and they stack inside a straight tuck carton. Pet product boxes hold treats, chews, shampoos and grooming items, often with bright artwork and a hang tab. Read more on supplement boxes for tubs and jars.

Pet care cartons tend to be bolder than skincare ones. Bright gloss artwork with a cartoon of the animal reads well on a pet shop peg wall, and a hang tab saves shelf space.

We make the cartons only. Any wording about the product inside is yours to supply and check.

Board, print and finishes for beauty boxes

Standard board is 350gsm white SBS, which keeps whites clean and small type sharp. Beauty brands can also ask for kraft or another board.

Finishes are options on every box: matt, gloss or soft touch lamination; spot UV; gold, silver or holographic foil; embossing or debossing. Soft touch with a gold foil name is popular for skincare. Gloss suits bright pet care and fun cosmetics.

Embossing a logo on the front panel adds a detail customers feel as they pick up the box, and it works with or without foil.

Our designers place your artwork on the dieline for free. They check that the ingredients panel, barcode and batch area all sit on flat faces.

Inserts, hang tabs and gift sets

A card insert holds a bottle upright, lifts a short jar, or keeps two products apart in a set. A rise-up insert brings a lipstick or balm to the top of the box.

Inserts are cut from the same board as the box, or from a lighter board on request, and they drop in by hand before the product. We draw each one on the dieline so you can check the fit on the proof.

Hang tabs suit pharmacy and pet shop pegs. They are punched into a header above the top tuck. For gift sets, such as a serum and a cream together, a wider carton with a divider works well, and you can see how it might look on the spray bottle boxes for mists and pumps page.

Mistakes to avoid with cosmetic tuck boxes

  • Measuring a bottle without its pump, dropper or cap fitted.
  • Sizing a soap box to a fresh bar that is still curing.
  • Placing the ingredients list across a fold or the glue flap.
  • Choosing a reverse tuck for a full-front window, so a fold crosses it.
  • Ordering one size for 30 ml and 50 ml bottles that differ by 15 mm in height.

If in doubt, send a sample product by post. We measure it and return the sizes with the proof.

A short call before ordering often catches these. Our carton desk can talk through the sizes with you on the phone or by WhatsApp.

How are beauty tuck boxes ordered and packed?

Every carton arrives flat, glued down the side seam and banded in stacks. Square it up, tuck the bottom, slide the bottle or bar in and tuck the top.

Online beauty brands usually post the printed carton inside a padded mailer or a small outer box. That keeps the corners sharp and the foil free of scuffs for the unboxing.

If you pack at a kitchen table or a small unit, flat stacks matter. A few hundred flat cartons fit on one shelf, and you fold only what you need for the day's orders.

From first message to delivery, ordering takes six short steps, and you see a proof before anything is printed.

  1. Pick the box from the table, or tell us the product.
  2. Send the product's size in millimetres and the quantity.
  3. Mention any window, insert or hang tab, plus the board and finish you want.
  4. Receive a written beauty box quote, from £0.25 per unit.
  5. Approve the free proof. Production takes 4–6 business days.
  6. Free tracked delivery to your UK address takes 2–3 business days.

Health and Beauty Tuck Boxes: questions

Which products does the health and beauty range cover?

Droppers, lipsticks, sprays, beard oils, soaps, supplements, contact lens packs and pet care items. Each has its own carton page.

Are cosmetic tuck boxes cut to my bottle or jar?

Yes. Every carton is cut to the inside size you send in millimetres, with clearance added for caps and pumps.

Can I order beauty boxes for several product sizes at once?

Yes. Each size has its own dieline and price line, all on one written quote.

Which finish is popular for skincare cartons?

Soft touch lamination with gold foil on the brand name is a common choice. Matt and gloss are also options.

Can a beauty tuck box hold a two-product gift set?

Yes. A wider carton with a card divider keeps the two items apart. We show the layout on the proof.

Where should the ingredients list go on a cosmetic box?

On a flat back or side panel, away from folds and the glue flap. Our designers check this on the proof.

Do you print kraft cosmetic boxes?

Kraft board is available on request. It suits beard care, soap and natural-look brands.

Can pet product boxes in this range have a hang tab?

Yes. A punched header tab can go on any carton in the range for peg display.

Can I send a sample bottle to be measured?

Yes. Post it to us and we measure it, then send the sizes back with the proof.

Is the proof for beauty cartons free?

Yes. Our designers place your artwork on the dieline at no cost, and nothing prints until you approve.

How quickly can cosmetic boxes be delivered?

Production takes 4–6 business days after proof approval. Cosmetic cartons then reach UK addresses free and tracked in 2–3 business days.

What happens if a beauty box order arrives misprinted?

Report it within 10 days with photos and we reprint or refund. Details are on our misprints and refunds page.
